Frozen meat

We have frozen meat to supplement the daily meal. This offers an extensive range of animal protein sources, without additives. Since the frozen meat is purely supplementary food, it does not contain all the necessary nutrients that a cat needs for its daily needs. We therefore recommend replacing a maximum of 20% of the main meal with frozen meat. For example, you feed 20% of the daily food amount in frozen meat and the remaining 80% in dry food.

You can choose to combine the frozen meat with our dry food every day, but it is also possible to choose a fixed day per week for this.

Our frozen meat is available in 200g, 500g and 1kg.

First time frozen meat

If your cat has never eaten frozen meat before, he may have looser stools in the first few days because his digestion has to get used to it. This is completely normal and should resolve itself. You can choose to immerse the food in boiling water for the first 2-3 days to remove the worst of the cold, for example using a sieve or colander. Then just stir well and let it cool.

Prepare and store

  • Divide the meat into portions of the right amounts for your cat.
  • Store the meat in a sealed container in the freezer at -18°C.
  • The day before, remove the meal from the freezer and place it in a sealable, leak-proof container in the refrigerator to thaw.
  • Remove the container with frozen meat from the refrigerator half an hour in advance, so that you can offer it to your cat at room temperature.
  • Do not store the meat in the refrigerator for more than 2 days. If one kilo package is too much for 2 days, you can divide the sausage into several portions in advance.
  • If your cat has not eaten the meat within an hour, throw it away. This also applies to any leftovers.
  • Prevent cross-contamination and wash everything, including your hands, that came into contact with the meat thoroughly with warm water and dishwashing liquid or disinfectant.
  • Meat once thawed should not be refrozen.

Bandit pet food contains:

  • Ground Organic bones with chicken meat are used as a calcium source in the standard meat mix. These are chickens from which the chicken fillet has been cut and used for human consumption. This is a high quality product and not a waste product. Even complete old Organic laying hens are used for the Chicken meat mix. Lamb-Goat ribs are used as a calcium source in the Lamb and Goat variant.
  • First quality organic organ meat consisting of tripe, heart, liver and kidneys from a beef or lamb or goat depending on the variant.
Organic brown rice (not in all varieties) grown on rice fields where the use of pesticides is not permitted.
  • High-quality muscle meat. This is the same meat you see in the display case at your organic butcher. The meat is purchased from European slaughterhouses that are subject to strict controls.
  • Strictly selected fresh organic vegetables tailored to the diet foods. Depending on the time of year, the available species comes from, among other things, a care farm.
  • Freshly caught fish. (herring or mackerel, depending on the season, purchased directly fresh and unsalted)

Our products are available in the following variants: 300 grams, 465 grams and 935 grams

More microorganisms live in the intestines than there are dogs and cats in the entire world. Good bacteria can actually help you stay healthy. The good bacteria in your dog or cat's intestines ensure that the bad bacteria no longer have a place to grow. But in today's society and with our modern dog and cat food, they ingest (too) few good bacteria.

Bandit pet food ensures that the good and bad bacteria keep each other in balance. Bandit pet food is a food based on organic meat. The organic beef tripe is beneficial for good intestinal flora.

Always wash and disinfect your hands after use!

Hygiene with frozen food and fresh chewable products Hygiene with frozen food and fresh chewable products The fear of bacteria already started with Pasteur! Many veterinarians are quick to shout “SALMONELLA” when referring to fresh meat and frozen food. However, in our own veterinary practice we have only encountered salmonella infections in kibble-fed dogs! Dogs that are on fresh meat naturally run the same risks and can get it just as well. That is why good hygiene is very important, especially in families with small children or people with poor resistance. Therefore, always keep a close eye on the hygiene rules.

  • Use separate cutlery for the animals (knives, forks, spoons, cutting boards)
  • Do not use wooden cutting boards, but glass or plastic
  • Use a separate area for preparing meals for your pet.
  • After preparation, clean all cutlery and countertops with a disinfectant cleaning agent.
  • Dry everything thoroughly and wash your hands.
  • The animals' eating area must also be easy to clean, to prevent your animal from dragging the food around.
  • Feed your dog outside in an area where children do not play.
  • Remove any food or chewing bones that have not been eaten within an hour.
  • Don't let small children crawl on the floor where your pet eats.
  • Clean up your dog or cat's droppings in the garden in a timely manner. (especially in the summer) This way you keep the house and dining area safely clean for all housemates.

Bandit products are pure and salmonella free, hygiene is Bandit's top priority. We work according to the new European regulations, which are strictly monitored.

Carnibest was founded at the end of 2001 out of a love for animals. At that time, the BARF method spread from Australia to the world via the Internet. A new but actually age-old method in which dogs and cats should be fed. In short, the method represents unprocessed raw food that canines and felines eat in their natural habitat. Prey animals, or fresh meat and raw bones.

The above method and personal experience have led to the creation of Carnibest. To this day, the production process is completely artisanal. The raw materials are still selected, checked and processed manually.

A conscious decision has been made not to fully automate the production process and not to replace employees with machines. The quality of Carnibest can be continuously guaranteed in the current traditional way.

The demand for Carnibest increased continuously after its founding, which forced the company to expand annually. The intention was and is not to pursue mass production. Advertising was deliberately not made, the website was simple, as was the packaging of the products. Quality over quantity.

Because we want to guarantee the quality of Carnibest 100%, we make conscious choices in growth and sales.

Alroda Pure consists of one animal species, but the composition may be different for each animal species. For example, Alroda Pure Rabbit contains rabbit carcass, rabbit leg, rabbit liver, heart and lungs. Because Alroda Pure does not contain rumen, this food is ideal for cats. But Alroda Puur sausages are also perfect for an elimination diet. This way you can find out exactly what your pet can or cannot eat.

The ingredients of Alroda Pure are natural or from game, but the fresh meat is not certified by SKAI. As a result, it may not bear the name 'organic'. Alroda pure is available in handy sausages of approximately 245 grams. That is why they are easy to store and take with you. The flavors of Alroda Pure are diverse. From rabbit, goat to poultry. Something for every pet.

There is a culture within Energique that we cherish: quality always comes first! Energique employs people with an unbridled passion for dogs and cats. We like to show who we are and what we stand for!

From the modern building at Wetterkant 10-8-6 in Gorredijk, we have been making a typically Dutch quality product for decades. Energique has the GMP+ quality mark in combination with the IFS Food certificate. These quality marks require much more in terms of reliability, quality, sustainability and safety than the legal requirements that the NVWA checks or that fall under the HACCP standard. (Of course we also comply with this!) But Energique wants much more than complying with a quality mark. We only want the best quality. We like to be challenged, so if you have any critical questions, let us know!

All Energique meals have been calculated and tested by an independent accredited laboratory for balance and completeness. This way you can be sure that all essential amino acids, fats, vitamins and minerals are present.
