October 4th is that time again! Animal Day! But do you know why it is finished? October 4 was the anniversary of the death of the Italian Francis of Assisi. He was committed to animals and nature all his life. This Saint Francis even held church services for animals. He was a huge animal lover!
So 900 years ago, attention was already paid to animals. A large number of followers believed and respected Francis. He was canonized 2 years after his death on October 4.
