ADVANTAGE - Spot-On 4 Pipet Anti-Flea Remedy for dogs.

Product for the treatment and prevention of fleas in dogs of all breeds and from 8 weeks of age. Fleas are among the most common parasites in dogs and cats and can quickly become an infestation, both on the pet and in the home. A flea lays at least 40 eggs per day!
Once these parasites start biting, your four-legged friend will not only suffer from itching, but may also experience all kinds of problems, such as skin infections, anemia (in case of heavy flea infestations) and a tapeworm infection. The latter happens when your dog swallows an infected flea. To prevent this, it is wise to treat your pets monthly with a preventive flea product such as Advantage.

Operation

Advantage is a good and safe product that works against fleas, flea larvae and lice for 4 weeks. The Spot-on effect ensures that these parasites are killed upon contact with the dog's skin and therefore do not have to bite first (and the dog therefore does not itch from the bite). This means that the fleas can no longer lay eggs and the cycle is therefore broken. In addition, the drug also has a repellent effect.
You can bring fleas (eggs) into your home on your clothes or under your shoes. That is why it is very important to also treat animals that hardly ever go outside.

Instructions

1. Choose the right Advantage product based on your dog's body weight. (In borderline cases it is best to round up)
2. Remove a pipette from the packaging, hold it upright and unscrew the cap. Place the cap upside down on the pipette, twist to break the seal, then remove the cap.
3. Wipe away the hairs so that you can properly apply the product to the bald skin by gently squeezing the pipette. For small dogs it is best to do this in 1 spot (between the shoulder blades), for dogs over 10 kg you can spread the product over 3 to 4 spots (from head to tail). Make sure that the dog is standing in front of the best result.
4. Note the date and repeat the treatment every 4 weeks.

Please note: Only apply the product to intact skin, never to cuts or wounds in the skin. Keep animals that have just been treated apart so that they cannot groom each other's fur. The veterinary medicinal product has a bitter taste. If your dog licks the area where you administered Advantage after the treatment, he may start to drool. This is not a problem and will disappear on its own.
After treatment, try not to touch the wet spot(s) for about 20 minutes, so that it can spread properly (and you don't get dirty hands). Also make sure that the dog does not get wet immediately. After about 24 hours, the product is completely spread over the entire dog and you can walk in the rain again without the effect diminishing. Please note that if you swim and/or wash the dog frequently, the product will not retain its effectiveness for the entire 4 weeks.

Fleas lay many eggs and by swallowing a flea, for example by biting or licking the fur, a dog or cat can get worms. Therefore, if your pet has fleas, always treat the house with an environmental spray (vacuuming and mopping is often not sufficient because of the adhesive layer around the eggs). Also make sure that all animals in the house are treated with a flea product, even those that do not seem to be bothered by anything or do not or hardly go outside. A few days after treatment of all pets, it is highly recommended to deworm all animals one or more times. Worms are not easy to see (if they are visible in the feces it is already too late), but they can cause very serious health problems for both your pet and yourself. Prevention is better than cure.
