One whole free-range chicken in every kilo of food

Most other types of dry food that claim to contain "fresh chicken" often use gutted carcasses, a byproduct of the human food chain. They usually add 'chicken meal', a processed powdered ingredient not suitable for human consumption, and call it 'dried chicken'.

We only use whole free-range chickens in our recipes, so your pet gets the best cuts of meat. Our chickens are kept on free range farms that apply the highest welfare standards. Here you will find more information about our chickens.

Other brands use chicken carcasses and meat meal in their feed

All McAdams foods are made from 100% fresh meat. We never use powdered meat meals, which are of low quality and not suitable for human consumption. You will see these on the ingredients list as dried chicken or dried lamb, or as dehydrated or air-dried meat.

Our kelp farmers have been cutting seaweed from the coastal waters around Ireland for generations. Seaweed, a true superfood, is naturally rich in iodine, which is important for a strong glandular system. Daily Dietary Guidelines:

Just like people, all cats are different and have different nutritional needs depending on their metabolism and activity level. Use the amounts below as a guideline and adjust the portions of your cat's meal accordingly if your cat loses or gains weight. Most cats prefer to divide their daily amount of food over two meals. Start feeding McAdams gradually by replacing 20% ​​of the old food with McAdams. Build this up slowly over a week to 100%. Always ensure that fresh drinking water is available. To keep McAdams at its best, once opened, store it in an airtight container in a cool, dry place.

When young kittens are weaned, they may prefer their food softened with a little water. Please note: At approximately 7-8 months, cats' required caloric intake decreases. This is reflected in smaller feeding amounts in the guidelines below.
