Size information: Our model Fiete (dachshund) weighs approximately 7 kg, has a back length of 46 cm and a chest circumference of 54 cm, and wears size 4 (dachshund).
For this model, we recommend checking your dog's back length using the size chart. If your dog falls between two sizes, we advise choosing the larger size for a more comfortable fit.
Description
The Alaska Dachshund dog jacket in dark aubergine has a narrower cut and a longer back, because the elongated body shape of dachshunds requires a different fit than normal dog jackets. This fit is suitable for miniature dachshunds, standard dachshunds, and miniature dachshunds, regardless of their individual size.
A belly panel and chest warmer provide extra warmth in areas that, due to the dachshund's short legs, are close to the ground and can cool down quickly in winter. The jacket is lined with a soft, down-like padding that keeps the dog nice and warm even in cold winter weather.
The comfortable fit offers complete freedom of movement, while an elastic cord keeps the jacket securely in place during running and sniffing, so it does not shift. Velcro closures make dressing and undressing the jacket quick and easy. A long, waterproof two-way zipper at the back ensures that the harness and collar remain easily accessible, even under the jacket. This makes the jacket a reliable companion for winter walks, whether it is raining, snowing, or cold.
In addition to the dachshund variant, the Alaska Dog Jacket is also available in special models for other breeds with a distinctive body shape, such as greyhounds or French bulldogs, so that they too have a well-fitting and warm solution for winter.

Washing instructions:
Close all zippers and Velcro closures before washing; fill the washing machine only halfway; add tennis balls to the machine to prevent the padding from clumping. Use the
delicate or wool cycle at a maximum of 30 °C.
Use a detergent for down or delicate fabrics.
Do not use fabric softener.
Spin at a maximum of 600 rpm.
Drying:
Let the jacket dry flat. Shake the jacket vigorously a few times to prevent the padding from clumping. It can be re-treated with waterproofing afterwards.
