Why deworm?

Worms are one of the most common parasites in dogs and cats and yet they are often forgotten during care. This is mainly because you only start seeing worms very late and are therefore less likely to think about them. However, all puppies and kittens receive worms from their mother at birth and it is therefore very important to deworm often, especially in young animals. In addition, worms are a zoonotic disease (that is, they can be transmitted from animals to humans and vice versa) and they are very easily transmitted via feces or an infected prey animal (e.g. a fly or mouse).
A worm infestation that is not treated or treated too late can lead to serious consequences, even death. All in all, enough reason to deworm your pets often enough (at least 4 times a year), for example with No Worm products.

Instructions

It is best to administer No Worm Pro with or after food. Thanks to the mini tablets, 90% of dogs take the tablet straight from their hand. If this does not work, you can add the tablet to the food, use a treat or Easypill. Easypill is a malleable substance that most dogs love. Hide the pill in a piece of Easypill and your dog will not notice that there is a tablet in it.

Please note: No Worm recommends (due to the active ingredients Milbemycine oxime and Praziquantel) to carefully dose the product in dogs of the following breeds:
Shetland Sheepdog (Sheltie), Long-haired Whippets, Australian Cattledog, Border Collie, Australian Shepherd, Silk Greyhounds, McNab dog, White (German)
Shepherds, White Swiss Shepherds. You can also use another dewormer for these breeds, such as No Worm Paste.

Frequency of administering deworming

Dogs that rarely come into contact with other dogs in busy dog areas (forest, park) and do not eat from the street / hunt or do not eat raw meat: 4 times a year

Dogs that spend a lot of time in busy dog areas / come into contact with other dogs or eat / hunt a lot from the street or eat raw meat: once a month

Puppies: At 2, 4, 6 & 8 weeks of age. Then monthly until they are 6 months old (at 12, 16, 20 and 24 weeks ). From 6 months of age, puppies transition to the adult dog schedule as described above.

If you are sure that your dog has worms or if your dog has had fleas, it is recommended to deworm several times in a row with an interval of 10 days. This is to ensure that nothing remains in the body.

Please note: Heartworm occurs in some parts of Europe (e.g. the Mediterranean area). This type of worm is very dangerous and requires a different, stronger, deworming agent and a different frequency. Is the dog coming with you on holiday? Always check well before departure whether heartworm occurs here and always consult a vet or pet shop.
